Seed Paper Planting Instructions

Prepare Your Pot

Fill your pot 2/3 full with a good quality soil. Tamp down the loose dirt or use more if necessary, until it is firmly packed, yet not overly compressed in the pot.

Plant Your Card

Place your seed card in a bowl of water for about 5 minutes. Take your card out of the water and tear it into small pieces. The paper might overlap in the soil. Gently press down the card pieces and cover them in a 1/8 inch layer of soil.

Water During Germination

After planting, water your soil and card until soaked and keep moist for the following days to ensure healthy germination. You want the card and the soil to be nicely damp but not swimming in water.

During the first 10 days, keep the paper moist at all times. The seeds will need 4 hours per day of direct sunlight with constant watering until established. The plants can grow to as tall as three feet. Results vary by growing region and conditions (soil, sunlight, and temperature). Sprouting can take several weeks and growing flowers, as long as three months. Good luck!
